Your day begins with a hotel pickup in Yangon, followed by a scenic 1.5-hour drive to Twante, a peaceful town renowned for its traditional pottery and artisanal heritage.

Upon arrival, we will visit Shwesandaw Pagoda, a 75-meter-high stupa believed to enshrine a sacred hair of the Buddha. Next, we will explore Shan Gyi Su, a village-based cotton-weaving community where local artisans create hand-woven textiles on traditional looms and continue to Oh Bo, Twante’s pottery quarter, where generations-old techniques are used to craft earthenware.

With guidance from a local craftsman, create your own pottery piece for a hands-on cultural experience that connects you directly with the community. Afterward, we will visit Paung Daw Gyoke Pagoda, also known as the Snake Temple, a unique complex home to dozens of pythons.

Take a leisurely stroll through the quiet town, explore the local market, and observe the daily life of Twante’s residents. This day trip offers a rustic, authentic escape from Yangon, giving you an intimate look at Myanmar’s artisanal traditions

The day concludes with a drive back to your hotel in Yangon.

Note: When visiting sacred religious sites, please dress modestly. Shoes and socks must be removed before entering pagodas and temples.
