Full Itinerary
We will pick you up from your Inle Lake hotel and drive to the quiet town of Pindaya, set amid rolling hills and tranquil landscapes.
Begin with a visit to the Pindaya Caves, a unique Buddhist pilgrimage site housing over 8,000 Buddha images of various sizes and materials within a limestone ridge. We will also enjoy the nearby peaceful Pindaya Lake.
Next, we will explore tea plantations around Danu villages on the hills, where you can pick tea leaves, learn how to produce the finest green tea, and taste a traditional Danu-style tea leaf salad. Continue to Shan paper workshops, observing artisans creating traditional handmade paper from mulberry bark and drying it under the sun.
Conclude the day with a scenic drive back to Inle Lake, enjoying the serene atmosphere of the small town and the beautiful mountain landscapes along the way.
