Full Itinerary
Begin with a hotel pickup in Yangon and transfer to Yangon Central Railway Station to board the iconic Yangon Circular Railway. Operating approximately every 45–60 minutes, this 28-mile (45 km) railway loop passes through 39 stations, linking downtown with suburban neighborhoods and rural outskirts. The full journey takes about three hours and this local commuter train offers one of the most authentic ways to experience the city.
Along the way, observe a lively cross-section of local life including commuters, vendors selling fresh fruits and snacks onboard, and ever-changing scenery outside the windows.
Midway through the journey, we will stop at Danyingon Market, one of the city’s most vibrant wholesale markets, where we will spend around 45 minutes exploring colorful stalls and experiencing authentic daily trade.
Reboard the train and continue toward downtown, enjoying meaningful encounters with friendly locals. This journey offers a genuine and memorable glimpse into everyday life in Yangon.
